Actions to protect one another
- Wash Hands - Keep washing your hands regularly
- Cover face - Wear a face covering in enclosed spaces
- Make Space - Stay at least 2 metres or 1 metre with a face covering

The service model below illustrates what interventions and patients’ problems should be dealt with at which service level:
GP Service
- Minor surgical problems such as regular skin tags & viral warts
SMS GPSI Service
- Clinical triage of referrals
- GP decision support, advice, and education/ training
- Mild-moderate rashes including eczema (atopic & contact), psoriasis, alopecia, urticaria & leg ulcers
- Assessment, investigation & treatment of skin surgical work
- Intermediate level surgery e.g. cysts on face
- Lesion diagnosis, treatment & follow-up for ‘symptomatic’ benign lesions and diagnosed or suspicious/ uncertain tumours including ‘low risk’ BCCs
- Clinical intervention including skin surgery
Secondary/ Tertiary Care Service
- Suspected squamous – 2 week cancer rule
- Suspected melanomas – 2 week cancer rule
- High risk BCCs i.e. those on the head
- Acne requiring Roaccutane
- Severe, widespread acute rashes
- Psoriasis requiring UV or systemic therapy
- Acute/ emergency patients
